Finegreen are supporting a large NHS acute Trust in the North East to appoint a Deputy Director of Estates, Capital Planning and Programmes. The Trust provides acute and community health services to a population of around 1.5 million people.
The Trust operates across over two main sites which includes providing a 24-hour emergency department, regional major trauma centre and a newly constructed diagnostic hub together with a surgical hub currently under construction. The Trust also operates from several primary care hospitals and community locations.
This is an exciting time to join the Trust which has become one of the first acute hospital trusts in England since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to achieve a rating increase to ‘Good’ from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the care it delivers to patients and service users.
The Deputy Director of Estates, Capital Planning and Programmes will be accountable for the delivery of the Trust’s estates services and capital provided through Private Finance Initiatives (PFI), in house delivery team, P22 Framework and the development and maintenance of the 5 year Capital Plan and Estates Strategy.
The post holder will support and deputise for the Director of Estates, Facilities and Capital Planning, being the lead advisor on all land, property, estate and facilities matters to the Director of Estates, Facilities and Capital Planning and the wider Trust.
The Deputy will need to have a strong Capital background and will lead and manage the Trust’s Capital variations with our PFI partners which will include the day to day management of the lifecycle investment plan in line with the contract.
