The NHS London Procurement Partnership is one of the most important and impactful organisations in the NHS. Hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, we are independent and work with all NHS organisations in London and beyond, to make the most of the purchasing power of the NHS, to maximise investment in patient care. We help deliver the highest quality services whilst at the same time ensuring value for money.

Now, more than ever before, it is vital that every penny of the NHS budget is spent wisely to retain, redesign, and improve efficiencies in the delivery of healthcare. Across the LPP we support members to save £2.5mn every week on goods and services with external suppliers, and have saved our members over £1bn since we formed in 2006.

Having grown by 50% in the last four years, and now operating with a £10m annual budget, the Managing Director will lead LPP’s team of around 100 staff, working collaboratively with all stakeholders, members, and partners to secure their ongoing support and commitment to LPP. The Managing Director will influence and manage relationships at the most senior levels, ranging from the Department of Health and Social Care, NHSE, Integrated Care Systems and their partners, relevant clinical networks and leaders, strategic suppliers, and the core senior executives amongst our members.

Success in this role will require an exceptional individual who can define and deliver on a future vision of success, whilst working collaboratively with LPP teams and partners to deliver relevant solutions which support members to achieve their goals. This role requires an inspirational leader with a track record of establishing and delivering commercial strategies which meet multiple stakeholder objectives in a complex and political environment. Offering experience in the public and or private sectors, the new Managing Director will have a proven track record of transforming and innovating in a context of complexity with competing priorities. It requires high levels of commercial acumen and political astuteness along with public sector values to deliver significant savings which will enable our members to invest more in front line care.
