Location: Stafford
At Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (MPFT) we provide integrated physical and mental health care, learning disability and adult social care services across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. We also provide services on a wider regional and many of these on a national basis including perinatal, eating disorders, forensic, sexual health and drug & alcohol services. We provide truly integrated care, with a dedicated workforce of 8,500 staff and annual income over £600 million. Our values are at the heart of all our decision. These are Putting people at the heart of what we do, Empowering people to improve care and wellbeing and Delivering better health, better care in partnership.
Recently achieving University status and rated as “Good” by the CQC since 2019; we are proud of the professionalism of our dedicated people and of our consistent focus on person centred care. Like all NHS organisations we face significant resource challenges coupled with increasing demand and we are working collaboratively with partners across the two main ICB footprints in which we operate to reduce health inequalities and provide joined up care and high quality experience for our populations as well as safe, fulfilling and flexible careers for our people.
Our new Chair will lead a strong and established Board working together with our staff, Governors, service users and partners as we continue to push boundaries for those that we serve. We are seeking an inclusive and visible leader who will set the tone for our person-centred culture whilst bringing diversity of thought and experience to our Board; ensuring that quality, finance, and operational demands are held in balance. An experienced Board leader, you will be skilled in shaping a Board and the strategic direction of a complex and highly regulated organisation with multiple stakeholders. Strategic, innovative and visionary; you will provide both support and challenge to our Board whilst working in partnership with our highly valued Council of Governors. A skilled networker; you will thrive as an influencer and ambassador for our organisation regionally and nationally. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a Board with high levels of aspiration and build on solid foundations as we continue to seek opportunities to make life better for our communities.
We are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity. We know through experience that the different ideas, perspectives and backgrounds create a stronger and more creative work environment that delivers better patient outcomes. We value and promote diversity and are committed to equality of opportunity for all and appointments made on merit.
