Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) and United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust (ULHT) provide community, acute and specialist services across Lincolnshire and its neighbouring counties. We serve one of the largest geographical areas in England, with a population of over 750,000 and we collectively employ over 11,000 staff with an annual combined income approaching £900 million.
LCHS is rated as ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC and delivers a wide range of community healthcare services across Lincolnshire, enabling patients and families to access care and support at, or as close to, home as possible. ULHT is on a rapid and successful improvement journey and provides a comprehensive range of hospital based services, primarily operating across four hospital sites; Lincoln, Boston, Grantham and Louth. Our Trusts have been successfully working increasingly closely together and we are committed to seeking out all collaborative opportunities that ensure we make the best use of our resources; enabling our dedicated staff to deliver joined up care for the populations we serve.
We are now seeking to appoint a Group Chair who will provide leadership during the next and critical phase of our partnership working. This is an exciting new opportunity to lead our Boards as we drive forward our shared commitment to reducing health inequalities and achieving sustainable and integrated health and care services for the future. Our new Group Chair will crucially form the first common link in bridging the two organisations, ensuring that all joint working is underpinned by robust governance and an effective shared vision. The Group Chair will formally take up the position for three years from 1st April 2024 and prior to that date will join as Chair Designate with the opportunity to spend time designing and building the Group, with the full support of the incumbent Chairs who will be ensuring continued strong discipline and delivery focus in the two Trusts up until 31st March 2024. In the Designate period, the successful candidate will also lead the recruitment to appoint our new Group Chief Executive.
As Group Chair, you will bring a proven track record of providing Board level leadership within a large, complex organisation in a comparable, person-centred environment and experience of leading large-scale strategic change. An inclusive and visionary leader who shares our values, you will thrive within an evolving context; bringing clarity to a wide and diverse range of stakeholders externally and internally as we seek to transform our services and outcomes for our populations. We are looking for an inclusive leader with the passion, drive, and vision to role model our values every day; committed to partnership working and to reducing inequalities. This is a unique opportunity for an exceptional individual to provide leadership across two Trusts who are committed to working together to deliver the highest quality care for the people of Lincolnshire and beyond.
