Set in the heart of South Yorkshire, the park is a major strategic investment site for the region, which creates over 5,000 high-value jobs and aids in shaping the future of wellbeing through preventative intervention, active lifestyles, and opportunities to thrive, while bringing regeneration to a major part of Sheffield.

Conceived in 2015, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park are a leading life sciences park and have attracted over £100m of investment into worldclass research, education, and sports facilities, with the objective of delivering on the legacy from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games through the four themes of:

• Community
• Environment
• Economy
• Sport

With the upcoming retirement of the current postholder, Rt Hon Richard Caborn, Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park are looking for an ambitious, values-led, and inclusive leader to help take forward, as the next Chair. This next phase of there growth is highly exciting and includes developing the health and wellbeing innovation ecosystem which will see the successful candidate develop partnership working and build collaborative networks across complex systems, within the city, regionally and nationally, and infuse a positive approach to inclusive leadership and change.

The Park is looking for an exceptional leader, able to commit a minimum of two days per month, both in person and virtually, and who brings a track record of Board leadership and delivery along with a passion for creating social value and maximising the opportunities to improve the lives of people across South Yorkshire. The Chair will work closely with the Chief Executive and a small support team, and with strategic partners within Sheffield, the wider region and nationally.
