Chief Executive Officer

This role is a great leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivery of high quality mental health, learning disabilities and community health services.  

West London NHS Trust has grown significantly in the last three years with substantial investment in mental health and community services. There has been a step change in the ambition, culture, staff engagement and performance of the organisation. We are seeking a candidate with drive and enthusiasm to lead the Trust to achieve the next level of success by further strengthening the quality of services provided to our patients and service users and the overall performance of the organisation.

Our new Chief Executive will join at a pivotal time for the Trust as we deepen our collaboration with our partners in North West London, reflecting the overall shift in the improvement philosophy in the NHS from competition to cooperation. A programme of work is planned across the four NHS Trusts providing community and mental health services in North West London – namely, Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare Trust and West London NHS Trust – to establish shared governance arrangements. The new Chief Executive will initially be appointed to lead the Trust through this period, after which they may be confirmed permanently in post.

Following the retirement of the existing postholder, we are looking for an innovative, inclusive and visionary leader who will build on our success to date. We are seeking an experienced leader with strategic acumen, a collaborative mind-set and a proven track record of success to lead the transformation of both mental health and community services with our staff and our partner organisations.
