Director of Performance and Delivery

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join NHS South Yorkshire ICB in the new post of Director of Performance and Delivery. The post holder will lead the newly created Performance and Delivery function of the ICB – a critical role in enabling the South Yorkshire Integrated Care System (SY ICS) to achieve its ambitions for improving access to care and the delivery of services for local people.

You will support the work of system partners in the delivery of national service standards and enabling the necessary planning to deploy sufficient operational capacity to do this. You will also lead the delivery of our role as a Category 1 incident responder and the development of our system resilience and emergency preparedness arrangements to ensure that we are able to respond effectively to any immediate incidents or challenges across our system.

The postholder will report directly to the ICB CEO, join the Executive Team meetings, and attend the Board and relevant subcommittees. They will play a key role in developing the evolving interface with NHS England in accordance with the collegiate ‘4+1 partnership approach’ in North-East and Yorkshire region.

We are looking for someone with significant leadership experience and knowledge of NHS service delivery. You will have a proven track record of leading and delivering complex change and strategic transformation in a politically sensitive and complex environment where the ability to work with others and gain commitment will be key. You should be educated to Masters or equivalent level or have equivalent experience of working at a senior level.
