Job Details
Job Purpose:
The role of the Deputy ADO is to manage and assist in delivery of all performance related targets including Urgent Care, Cancer, RTT, and diagnostics.
In addition, the role will support the ADO WHP’s and other colleagues in identifying and realising business development opportunities.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Making an effective contribution to reaching the trust’s vision strategic objectives and key work programmes.
- Responsible for delivery of key waiting times to facilitate the Trust Cancer, Urgent Care, Diagnostics and 18-week RTT performance standards.
- Working with the relevant clinical networks to support delivery of Maternity Care, Neonatal Care and Paediatrics across the clinical networks.
- Working with the clinical and operational teams to ensure patient care is delivered to a high standard within the emergency care pathway.
- Development of new and innovative concepts, models, and practices for service delivery which will enhance the quality of service available.
- the Trust’s ability to meet its constitutional targets within the pathways.
- Assisting in identifying and realising high quality business management within the division.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Educated to Masters’ degree level or equivalent experience.
- Significant previous senior managerial experience in a large and complex organisation preferably within the NHS.
- Previous senior managerial experience within a Women’s Health and Paediatric care pathway would be highly beneficial, but not essential.
- Able to logically think through problems which do not always have an obvious solution, to determine an action plan for resolving issues, drawing on appropriate resources, and taking into account all the implications.
