Interim Freedom of Information Officer - NHS
Location: London
Duration: 3 months
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Rate: £42.04 per hour

About the Role:
Our client, a prominent NHS Trust in London, is seeking an Interim Freedom of Information Officer for a 3-month contract. This essential role involves ensuring the Trust complies with the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and respond to FOI requests promptly within the statutory timeframe.
* Provide advice and guidance to FOI/EIR applicants on accessing Trust information.
* Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and draft responses.
* Support staff in understanding their FOI roles and responsibilities.
* Ensure compliance with FOI and EIR legislation, raising non-compliance issues as necessary.
* Maintain and update the Trust's publication scheme and disclosure log.
* Assist in the preparation and management of patient and public information.
* Participate in Information Governance team activities and meetings.

What We're Looking For:
* Experience handling FOI requests and compliance.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations 2004.
* Proactive approach to managing and improving information governance.
