Job Details

Finegreen are currently working with a NHS primary care service provider in South East England. The organisation has been a key provider of primary care services in the local area for over 15 years. They are a non for profit organisation ensuring that they reinvest any surplus back into the integral primary and community services they provide.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensuring Quality, Governance and any improvements needing to be embedded due to the continued growth of the services they provide;
  • Enhancing the quality management system to ensure excellent patient care across the various services in the organisation;
  • Being a champion for an open and transparent safety culture encouraging data driven action, to make sure lessons are learnt, and action is taken to prevent recurrent issues;
  • Play a key role in the clinical governance group and be a key link between the group and the board of directors;
  • Having expert knowledge and understanding of Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and legislative requirements and work with the Registered Managers to ensure all guidance is being followed;
  • Working with key stakeholders across the organisation to introduce annual quality improvement plans and create Toolkits to enhance and maintain high quality patient care;
  • Working with all clinical teams to introduce annual quality improvement plans to improve and enhance patient care;
  • Supporting the Data Protection Officer to complete the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DPST).
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Masters level or equivalent experience level of relevant healthcare quality and safety management;
  • Evidence of professional knowledge in Quality and Safety systems including clinical governance and risk management processes;
  • Knowledge and understanding of managing serious incidents including root cause analysis techniques;
  • Knowledge and understanding of CQC inspection standards;
  • Understanding of the wider NHS/Primary Care and community services agenda;
  • Knowledge of quality management reporting systems e.g. DATIX, GP Teamnet.
