HSE South West Region are seeking to appoint an experienced Director of People to serve the 750,000 population of Cork and Kerry. The primary objective of the Slaintecare reform is to deliver universal and integrated care, providing timely access to the care our community needs, when they need it. Critical in this is establishing an organisational culture that will continuously improve the access to, and quality of, health and social care services.

 

 

 

The move to a regionalised approach, represents a major shift in the approach to the planning, funding and delivery of health and social care services. In line with international best practice, the new arrangements will support a population-based approach to the planning and resourcing of the geographic delivery of services to improve health outcomes people in Ireland.

 

 

 

The Director of People will have lead responsibility for establishing the culture of the organisation as well as delivering a broad range of human resource functions, supporting optimal delivery of health and social care services. We are committed to giving every member of our staff an excellent experience of work and maintaining their health and wellbeing.

 

The national and regional people functions will work in partnership, including a professional relationship with the HSE Chief People Officer, to provide strategic and operational HR support and advice in achieving the organisational goals of providing high quality, integrated health and personal social services.

 

 

 

There is currently 1 permanent and whole-time vacancy available in the HR function of the HSE South West Health Region.

 

 

 

A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Regional Director of People within the HSE South West Health Region from which current and future, permanent and specified purpose vacancies of full or part-time duration may be filled.
