Job Details
Candidates must have knowledge of EMIS system, Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and have worked with GP practices previously in a similar role previously.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the Director of Quality and Governance to enhance the existing quality management system to ensure they continue to monitor and improve all clinical services to provide excellent patient care throughout the organisation;
- Promote an open and transparent safety culture: to encourage incident reporting; making sure lessons are learnt; and action is taken to prevent any similar issues in the future. To promote a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organisation;
- Work with the Director of Quality and Governance to ensure the Board are aware of the quality of clinical services;
- Work with Registered Managers (mainly GP Practices) to ensure compliance with all CQC standards and legislative requirements;
- Work with all clinical teams to introduce annual quality improvement plans to improve and enhance patient care;
- Lead on preparedness for regulatory and statutory duties, such as CQC inspections. This will include working with both internal and external stake holders;
- Manage the quality management software ensuring it is kept up to date and relevant;
- Develop safety culture including improving incident / learning event reporting, including the continued roll out of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) throughout the organisation;
- Manage organisation and clinical audit programme to ensure services meet best practice standards;
- Contribute to risk management processes to ensure appropriate risks are highlighted and added to the risk register where appropriate. To support the senior managers to ensure mitigation is taken to minimise or eliminate any risk.
- Master’s level or equivalent level of relevant quality management experience;
- Extensive knowledge of quality management reporting systems e.g. DATIX, GP Teamnet;
- Evidenced knowledge of EMIS system, Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) and have worked with GP practices previously in a similar role previously evidenced within CV;
- Extensive working understanding of the NHS Primary Care agenda.
