Chief Medical Officer

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is the executive lead for the ICB for the medical profession.  Working collaboratively with the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the CMO role will create an exciting and innovative space for all our health professionals to thrive in.   BLMK ICB has set out an ambitious approach to joint working with partners to reduce the inequalities experienced by our residents and improve the health and care they receive.  The CMO will support the development and delivery of the long-term plan of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), using innovation and continuous improvement working with the CNO and the Institute for Health Improvement. They will ensure our health services strategy reflects and integrates with the strategies of all relevant partner organisations of the ICB.  They will ensure the clinical opportunities of the delegation of specialised services commissioning to ICBs (hosted for East region ICBs by BLMK) are realised for our population.
