Head of Supply Chain

I am seeking a Head of Supply Chain to oversee the support and delivery of my clients services.

Please note that a background in the NHS or Independant Healthcare is a must for this role

The ideal candidate has substantial experience in procurement, logistics, contract negotiation and monitoring, and materials management.

You should also have strong customer service and organisational skills, as well as the ability to develop successful partnerships across organisational boundaries.

Candidates must be able to think commercially, prioritise long-term value, and implement strategic objectives, as well as be dedicated to providing excellence in my clients services that satisfy the demands of patients and stakeholder groups.

Essential

Knowledge of purchasing principles acquired through training and/or experience.

Supervision/management of staff including selection and induction of own staff; undertakes annual performance appraisal.

Participates in audits and surveys of own and section's work activities.

Background in working across the NHS, or healthcare, landscape at management level to identify and solution complex procurement requirements across the procurement lifecycle.

Knowledge and experience of UK pubqlic sector procurement legislation and policy.

Desirable

Experience of applying matrix management principles and applying cross functional ways of working.

Development of sustainable methods of supply chain management
