Infection Prevention Control Lead

I have an opportunity for an Infection Prevention and Control Lead to join an existing client of mine in a hospital group. This role is a dual site position, with time divided between Berkshire and Hampshire.

I am looking for someone passionate about IPC to join superb hospitals who really care about patient outcomes

This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Salary is up to £55,000.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (or other profession e.g. Operating Department Practitioner) with minimum 3 years post registration.
• Mentorship or equivalent qualification.
• Nationally recognised IPC qualification.

Requirements

• Lead the team to deliver care that helps improve the health of the individual and wider community.
• Lead the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
• Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
• Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
• Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
• Demonstrate commitment to improving care and the patient experience.
• To be a core member of the Hospital IPC committee (HIPCC).
