Job Details
A long standing client of mine are actively looking for a Clinical Director - Gastroenterology on a full time basis.
The ideal candidate for this role would need to be a senior healthcare professional, holding a qualification (GMC registration)
Please note this role will be 50% clinical (Hands on) and 50% directorial.
Responsibilities
The purpose is to provide clinical leadership and support to the CMO in overseeing the Gastroenterology Service across the estate, including providing perspectives improving clinical pathways and programmes that deliver improvements in quality and patient care.
The role holder will be responsible for the operational performance and strategic development of the gastroenterology service. This will include accountability for high quality patient care, patient safety, clinical quality and governance, the delivery of agreed performance and financial objectives, and ensuring that the service operates with the needs of patients as its highest priority.
The role holder will also be responsible for undertaking direct clinical work in the gastroenterology service by providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients within the gastroenterology pathway.
Needs
- Full GMC Registration, with licence to practice.
- Specialist registration in Gastroenterology.
- Extensive experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills, with the ability to develop and implement clinical strategies in line with organisational objectives.
- Experience in service improvement.
- Demonstrated expertise in the diagnosis and management of gastroenterology conditions.
- Proven leadership experience within a healthcare setting, with a track record of successfully leading and managing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels, including clinicians, management, and patients
The salary for this role is between £170k - £180k.
